The new iPods were announced and both Jake and Tim think that the Touch is a good idea. It's got the part of the iPhone that we like - the user interface - without the stuff that we don't - the phone.
Jake finally had a chance to play around with an iPhone in person. That experience confirmed for him what we had thought would be the case. The user interface is beautiful, regardless of how much we dislike things like being locked in to AT&T.
The Centro is a new PDA phone from Palm. It's got a sleek look to it with a Blackberry-style thumb keyboard and a touch screen. It, of course, runs the Palm OS which seems to work well with the phone and PDA capabilities of the device.
The U.S. FCC is auctioning off the 700 MHz wireless frequency. The bandwidth will be coming available when all broadcast television finally switches over to digital. Google is showing a lot of interest in acquiring the band.

Net neutrality is the notion that the bandwidth used on the internet costs the same regardless of who is pushing content or what that content is. ISPs would like to see an end to net neutrality so that they could charge more for things they considered to be "premium content". Here is a good blog posting that describes some of the situation.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 will be coming out in the near future. It will largely be a roll-up of the fixes that have been pushed out since SP2. However, it sounds like Microsoft will also be making available a few of the features from Vista.
